Deep in the woods is a picture book illustrated by Christopher Corr, based on a classic Russian folk tale about a little mouse who finds a beautiful house deep in the woods and decides to make it his home. As this charming bedtime story progresses, more and more animals arrive who also want to live in the little wooden house, including a great big bear who is far too big to fit. This colourful gouache illustration is the original front and back cover from the book and features one of the characters – the Beaver.
