This large, striking illustration is taken from the picture book Deep in the Woods which is an adaptation of a Russian folk tale about a little mouse who finds a beautiful house in the woods and decides to make it his home. Other animals join him, one by one, until a large bear tries to move in and discovers he is far too big. The animals must then build a new home big enough to fit all of them inside. Designed by acclaimed children’s illustrator, Christopher Corr, this colourful piece is an original artwork from the book showing an owl flying over the little house in the woods and seeing all the animals living together inside.
